Thank you Alan for your music and friendship!
A big thanks to our families for all of their support, and to everyone who has mentored or inspired our connection to traditional music, especially Taylor Ashton, Calvin Cairns, Liz Carroll, Màiri Chaimbeul, Tarla Curran, Stephanie Custer, Ånon Egeland, Rob Ellison, Eugene Friesen, Zoe Guigueno, Marty Hykin, Ian Johnston, Daniel Lapp, Spencer Murray, Simon Nyberg, Per Åsmund Omholt, Patrick Ourceau, Jude Pelley, Jenny Ritter, Simon Shaheen, and Lael Whitehead.
Elise plays a 2011 hardingfele by Jarle Hagane, and an old violin of uncertain origin.
Adam plays a 2015 fiddle by Jack Devereux, and a 1978 Gibson J-50 guitar.
This album was recorded on S,ḴŦAḴ. S,ḴŦAḴ is the SENĆOŦEN word for 'pass' or 'narrows', and the WSÁNEĆ place name for the island later called Mayne. This area is the traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ people, who have a rich artistic and traditional culture connected to this place. We extend our thanks and gratitude to them, and acknowledge the privilege of working on their territory.

I've had a mad crush on Natalie Haas's music from the moment I first heard it. To hear both sisters playing together - well, it's a no brainer! If you enjoy folk cello, for want of a better term, just buy this. You won't reget it :-) Joseph Karl
